Duties

Help
  • Provides compensation support by reviewing, troubleshooting, and analyzing a wide range of paysetting and compensation questions and issues.
  • Researches regulations and policies pertaining to the full range of compensation areas.
  • Utilizes various HR databases and systems to review, troubleshoot and analyze a wide range of pay transaction problems.
  • Resolves pay issues by tracing transactions to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Adheres to privacy act and advises others on safeguarding information protected under the privacy act.
  • Performs a variety of human resource functions in support of compensation, timekeeping and pay systems.
  • Monitors and reviews changes in DoD and government-wide policy in compensation, timekeeping and pay systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of and skill in applying civilian pay and compensation laws, regulations, policies and practices.
  • Knowledge of and skill in applying research and analytical techniques to gather, document and analyze information to develop accurate guidance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written methods.

Education

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this position.
