    As Program Manager within ICE, Office of Leadership and Career Development (OLCD), you will perform in a Supervisory capacity as the Career Development Section Chief.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide expert advice to senior leadership on career development concerns; support, lead, manage and develop the staff members to design, develop and lead the implementation of career development strategy through career enhancing programs for ICE employees;
    • Apply expert knowledge of planning, operational concepts and procedures for the accomplishment of tasks and objectives relative to the mission goals of OLCD, initiating and coordinating within DHS, outside agencies, educational institutions, and private organizations to locate, using ideas and resources to meet the needs of the workforce;
    • Lead and participate in Agency level teams/panels associated with organizational career development and training initiatives; promoting and supporting career development programs;
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with budget, contracting and acquisition subject matter experts (SMEs) to create new and/or unique training opportunities; and
    • Assimilate and analyze workforce trend data from federal government sources and databases to identify training and resource requirements.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
