Duties

Help

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team assigned to the Strategic Communications Staff (SCS), Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA). SCS performs outreach and public affairs duties to enhance the United States Attorneys community's visibility and interactions with its primary constituencies, the local media, the law enforcement community, government officials, and civic organizations.Typical work assignments will include:

-Serve as an expert analyst and advisor to senior management on the effectiveness of social media and related outreach programs.
-Identify and analyze issues, program weaknesses, indifferent or negative public views or perceptions and recommend strategies to address issues which include changes in digital communications programs, operations and policies nationwide.
-Generate and maintain all content of the office's web and social media platforms and provide oversight and general management of all USAO external web and social media platforms.
-Manage projects in support of EOUSA and the U.S. Attorneys' Offices (USAO) in accordance with IT standard best practices.
-Pro-actively assess areas of project management for improvement and develop proposals and methods to implement improvements.
-Provide direct support to USAOs by managing the help desk in support of SCS applications and information systems.
-Coordinate the day-to-day work activity of SCS staff in conjunction with the priorities and direction of the Assistant Director.

Qualifications

GS-14:In order to qualify for the GS-14, applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal service providing expert advisory services to senior management on the effectiveness of social media and related outreach programs; developing policies and procedures for efficient and effective content management for digital communications programs, including web/social media platforms; and lead the development of products in Drupal and SharePoint.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
