Summary
This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Eastern Regional Research Center, Molecular Characterization of Foodborne Pathogens Research Unit with one vacancy in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania.
Collects, prepares, evaluates, and verifies food samples and supporting records.
Assists in one or more phases of the research process by performing a variety of technical duties, in a laboratory, field, or greenhouse environment, common to food research.
Maintains records and locates and compiles data and other information from various sources.
Performs routine and recurring techniques and studies using a variety of specialized equipment.
Tabulates, statistically analyzes and summarizes data using personal computers and software packages.

For this position, specialized experience is experience assisting with collecting food samples in a laboratory environment; assisting with recording or analyzing scientific data; and operating standard laboratory equipment in support of an experiment related to food.
