    This position is located in the East Asia and Pacific Division's, Indonesian Service at the Voice of America in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a International Broadcaster and performs duties in a multimedia environment that includes digital media for digital devices, radio and television.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    --Writes news-related stories for use in radio, TV and/or the Internet using a variety of sources to write news reports.
    --Prepares targeted, well-balanced scripts for radio, TV reports and/or text for digital content that clearly tell the story and capture the attention of the audience.
    --Conducts interviews on political economic, scientific, cultural, and other related subjects. Identify persons to interview and issues to cover to insure a balanced program.
    --Engages the online audience in a conversation by encouraging their comments and selectively responding.
    --Selects, edits, adapts, and uploads Indonesian Service news, correspondent reports, backgrounders, features, photographs, graphics and audio/video elements onto the Indonesian Service website, social media sites and digital syndication site.
    --Keeps abreast of current developments in the target area in order to plan and develop program materials that are relevant and consistent with broad U.S. policy aims.
    --Operates as a team member, sharing responsibilities in all aspects of broadcasting.
