    Responsibilities

    You will:

    • Serve as an expert and authority in overseeing the investigation of complex Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) hazardous waste sites located within assigned geographical areas to identify high risk sites, to determine if they are eligible for inclusion on the Superfund National Priorities List (NPL).
    • Oversee the preparation of Hazard Ranking System (HRS) documentation packages for sites which are eligible for inclusion on the National Priorities List (NPL).
    • Serve as a recognized expert in the national Hazard Ranking System (HRS).
    • Develop scopes of work and independent government cost estimates (IGCEs), oversee contractor work related activities, evaluate contract deliverables, and direct changes/revisions in contract deliverables.
    • Develop overall schedule and plan for site investigation.

    You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.

    Occasional travel - You may be required to travel 25% or less of each month.
