    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Protocol Specialist in a developmental capacity, performing assignments designed to further develop applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques. This is a developmental position. All training must be completed and regulatory requirements met prior to promotion.

    Responsibilities

    • GS-07 and GS-09
    • Performs developmental assignments.
    • Performs recurring assignments.
    • Participates in special initiatives, studies, and projects.
    • Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.
    • GS-11
    • Plans, organizes and arranges special events, social functions, and special visits in support of the organization.
    • Attends special events, visits, social functions and monitors activities.
    • Provides general protocol guidance to military and civilian officials based on regulations, resources, precedence, and previous office experiences.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
