    Summary

    You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Acquisition Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

    Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.

    Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition.

    Responsibilities

    • You will perform and oversee the full range of pre and post award contractual actions required in the procurement of construction and Architect-Engineer (A-E) contracts.
    • You will ensure support of Small and Disadvantaged Business Programs.
    • Provide administrative and technical guidance, advice, and mentorship to contracting staff.
    • You will communicate, identify, distribute and balance workload and tasks for assigned projects, establishing actionable events, milestones, deadlines and timeframes for completion.
    • You will resolve grievances/employee complaints and when necessary, refer those that cannot be resolved to the appropriate party/contacts at Human Resources Office.
    • You will conduct Peer Reviews.
    • You will ensure that all contractual actions undertaken in the administration of assigned contracts comply with applicable statues and regulations.
    • You will ensure proper processes are followed in conducting contract close-out.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - This position may require travel from normal duty station to include remote or isolated sites
