Duties

Help
  • You will serve as a technical expert supporting Navy and Joint Program Chemical Biological Defense Individual Protective Equipment (CBD-IPE) acquisition efforts.
  • You will be developing new procedures that extend existing procedures and technically defend your proposals to CBD-IPE program leads, end users, and higher echelons.
  • You will serve as the project task lead for the Sea Mission Area for the Uniform Integrated Protection Ensemble (UIPE) Family of Systems (FoS) acquisition program
  • You will lead a multi-service team of experts in reaching a common solution for the next generation chemical protective ensemble that protects the warfighter in a maritime environment.
  • You will plan and schedule direct work assignments to government and contractor personnel, providing technical support to develop CBD-IPE material solutions for the Fleet.
  • You will be a subject matter expert in the use of chemical protective ensembles to meet increasing levels of Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP).
  • You will communicate effectively and interface with high-level civilian and military officials (e.g. fleet flag officers, program managers, management).
  • You will effectively generate documents, reports, written procedures for fleet actions, and status reports for CBD-IPE acquisition.
  • You will develop and present technical and program status reports for acquisition meetings and working groups.
  • You will organize and lead integrated teams that develop and document CBD-IPE system requirements, including the development of acquisition objectives.
  • You will lead cross-functional teams that review quality and reliability evidence and may represent NAVSEA on ad hoc task teams or panels convened to resolve difficult and precedent setting problems for CBD-IPE in the Navy.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and executing policies, fiscal plans, and programmatic requirements associated with enhancing shipboard individual protection to mitigate the risk of chemical, biological, or radiological agents for an organization.
