Summary

As a Investigative Support Specialist, AD-1801-9, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Conducts preliminary and general investigative research on entities and persons of interest within local, state, and federal government databases and commercial databases.
Researches, analyzes, interprets, and evaluates investigative and administrative data to support complex criminal investigations and enhance procedures.
Enters and uploads pertinent information and adjudicative actions into the Case Management System (CMS).
Receives, records, tracks, and organizes investigative documents, evidence, and confidential information.
Ensures criminal history disposition documents and forms are accurate, complete, and promptly uploaded into the CMS, and forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Handles critical responsibilities such as: Grand Jury Coordinator, IG Subpoena Coordinator, Evidence Coordinator, and Emergency and Extraordinary Funds Coordinator.
Tracks and monitors submission of critical documents such as consensual monitoring and sensitive operation requests and renewals.
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Position has been designated as Noncritical Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.

Basic Requirements:
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.Specialized Experience:
You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-07 level in the federal service or at an equivalent level. Specialized experience is experience that includes knowledge of, and skill in applying analytical, investigative, problem solving and case management concepts, principles, methodologies and practices to detect illegal activity and support and conduct complex criminal investigations, compliance inspections and other law enforcement activities. The position requires knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures associated with federal law enforcement operations and investigations.
