This region Fleet & Family Readiness (FFR) Program (N9) Digital Media Specialist supports the educational and outreach mission of Fleet &Family Readiness Programs in two primary ways: 1) creating, editing, producing, and posting video, audio, graphic and text content pertaining to FFR for online dissemination via various online media including, but not limited to: websites, social media sites, email marketing, Site Kiosk LCD digital screens, NW Navy App; and 2) developing the strategy used in marketing FFR online, utilizing such techniques in the field as social media, Web analytics, Web content management systems, App development, App content management systems, email marketing and SEO/SEM (search engine optimization and search engine marketing), among others. This position will facilitate the assembly and execution of various online promotional and email campaigns, as well as perform market and product research.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field, one year marketing experience and knowledge of Navy Fleet and Family Readiness required, OR a minimum of three years work experience in marketing is required without a degree. Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles, methods, practices and techniques is required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to display outstanding customer service. Must have skills in gathering and organizing information, developing/implementing marketing/promotional strategies, search engine optimization, content management systems, writing and editing for both print and electronic/social media. Experience with online survey development, email marketing, content marketing, major social media platforms and focus group research.
