    Summary

    You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER/HEALTH PHYSICIST (INSTRUCTOR) in the RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE, RADIOLOGICAL SUPPORT DIVISION of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

    Responsibilities

    • You will plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate the Radiological Monitoring program in accordance with NAVSEA, Shipyard, and Federal Agency requirements.
    • You will oversee radiological environmental projects (e.g., project objectives, work plans, surveys, waste disposal) to ensure compliance with regulations and safe performance.
    • You will oversee radiological project management plans addressing work assignments and work performance
    • You will develop the scope and content of radiological training program requirements based on Shipyard manual and corporate and local instructions on radiological controls.
    • You will assign work to subordinates, senior management, or emergency response personnel based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, or necessity.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
