Duties

Help
  • Serves as an Intelligence subject matter expert for highly unique Special Operations targets of operational and intelligence interest to the Command.
  • Develops intelligence analytical assessments based on a comprehensive knowledge of Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), and signal processing.
  • Compiles Analyst work to produce analytical reports for senior leadership within the Command.
  • Prepares integrated intelligence products, such as briefings, intelligence assessments, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) feasibility assessments.
  • Maintains oversight of several databases associated with sensitive collection and analytical assessments.
  • Evaluates correctness and accuracy of all-source intelligence data for reporting.
  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling completion of assignments.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • This is an Emergency Essential position that ensures the success of combat operations or supports essential combat systems after a mobilization, evacuation order, or other military crisis.
  • Anthrax vaccination will be required. Incumbent may be required to perform duties under austere and potentially hazardous conditions during exercise and real-world crisis deployments.
  • Position also requires extensive travel, both CONUS and OCONUS, as well as frequently extended duty with long hours under high pressure and generally high-risk job responsibilities.
  • Incumbent may be required to deploy, on very short notice, to potentially high-threat, hostile OCONUS environments and to undergo specific training and immunization requirements as appropriate for OCONUS deployments.
  • Shift work, irregular tours of duty and/or extended duty will be required.
  • May be required to undergo psychological screening.
  • Position requires the application for and obtain Staff-Like-Access (SLA) in order to perform temporary duty with Other Government Agencies.
  • A pre-employment physical is required.
  • Requires access to firearms and/or ammunition.
  • Subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
  • Must perform temporary duty (TDY) travel throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) up to 30% or less of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the Experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience is defined as experience applying, procedures and methods analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating complex intelligence data in at least three of the following intelligence related fields Signal Intelligence, Human Intelligence, Imagery Intelligence, and/or Measurement and Signature Intelligence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service at the (GG/GS-12) level. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
