    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitors contractor performance for compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual requirements.
    • Advises contractor as to scope of work statements, shipping requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements for clearances of subcontractors, and other questions regarding the meaning of terms and conditions.
    • Uses the report, advice, and assistance from the legal office, price/cost analysts, quality and production specialists, and property administrators in making evaluations and recommendations.
    • Attends meetings with contractor and buying activity contract administration and/or technical personnel to monitor status of contract and to resolve questions that arise during the course of the contract.
    • Monitors disbursement of funds and manages funding execution to ensure contractual compliance. Reviews payment requests to ensure compliance with contract financing.
    • Assist in establishing a negotiation position based on knowledge of the contractor's operations and the reports of the technical specialists.
    • Assures contractor compliance with cost accounting standards via a review of disclosure statements and analysis and negotiation of cost impact of accounting system changes.
