Manages, controls, and executes the planning, direction, and timely delivery of internal communications and engagement activities to a workforce of more than 400 employees, both in Headquarters and the field. Serves as technical expert on employee communications and engagement activities that affect the entire NTSB workforce. Establishes and leads the NTSB Internal Communications Committee. Proactively seeks opportunities to improve employee communications and engagement by collaborating with senior agency leadership to improve and ensure the implementation of communications plans. Advises and recommends strategic methods to improve communications that inform employees about NTSB benefits, operations, policies, and services. Identifies and leverages various internal communication channels that effectively conveys information to the workforce. As the lead in that regard, the incumbent identifies any problems to be solved, actionable events to amplify, and deadlines/timelines for completion.

Qualifications
One (1) year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: Planning, developing, executing, and administering and coordinating an integrative internal communications program for a federal agency and/or private sector organization; knowledge of program management concepts and procedures sufficient to manage, control, and execute the planning, direction, and timely delivery of internal communications and engagement activities to the workforce; the ability to use metrics & surveys to ensure external communications messaging resonates with internal stakeholders.
