Summary

You will serve as the Supervisory Technician of the CBR Fleet Support Branch in the CBR Defense Division of the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Department of NAVSURFWARCEN IHEODTECHDIV.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the Branch Head for the Chemical Biological and Radiological (CBR) Fleet Support Branch.
  • You will be responsible to technically lead and supervise a very diverse workforce of engineers and technicians whose mission is to assure full readiness for the Navy warfighter against all CBR threats.
  • You will work with all stakeholders to ensure the most capable, efficient and cost effective systems are available to support readiness and meet customer needs.
  • You will maintain close interaction with sponsors to deliver high quality training, readiness, and life cycle support of in-service Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense systems in a timely manner.
  • You will lead and manage a diverse branch workforce of engineers, scientists, technicians, and support staff, provide for personnel development,
  • You will plan, coordinate, and direct multiple projects in a teaming environment (including contractor coordination), effectively interacting with senior leaders withing the Navy operational environment
  • You will communicate complex concepts and data orally and in writing and to make authoritative and in-depth presentations to senior government officials.

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical engineering services coordinating installation, integration, sustainment, in-service engineering, or warfighter support initiatives to meet operational requirements.
