    Responsibilities

    • Serves as Dormitory Manager. Participates with supervisor in organizing, coordinating and supervising a comprehensive residential living program ensuring a safe, healthy atmosphere for students.
    • Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing resident living activities from the standpoint of student response and behavior.
    • Plans the work to be accomplished by the unit, assigns work to employees, and establishes production or quality standards for the unit's work.
    • Establishes and communicates guidelines and performance requirements to employees; conducts formal performance reviews; and identifies and provides for the developmental and training needs of employees.
    • Hears and resolves employee complaints, effects minor disciplinary measures, and recommends action in more serious cases.
    • Serves as liaison between the Center and judicial agencies/courts; solicits legal representation for students.
    • Makes contacts with State or local governments, city officials, and members of the general public to plan, coordinate, advise, and inform on matters concerning the operation of the residential living program.
