Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of tasks that require attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures. In accordance with current menu, prepares and combines fruits and vegetables for salads.
  • Makes simple sandwiches and performs other simple food preparation. Responsible for proper slicing of deli meats and cheeses and cutting of fruits and vegetables for garnish.
  • Processes and organizes food, arranges garnishes and ensures proper presentation in accordance with set standards. Operates a cash register. Cleans kitchen utensils, pots, pans, storage containers, sweeping and mopping the floor.
  • Restocks storeroom, walk in refrigerator/freezer, front line refrigerators, freezers, coolers, and dry goods.
  • Responsible for cleaning of dining area, to include but not limited to wiping tables, chairs, empyting the trash, and vacuuming.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
  • A one year probationary period may be required
  • Citizenship eligible under country SOFA agreement
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.j.(1).
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certificate of Medical Examination required.
  • Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

1. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
3. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or nonalcoholic beverages.
4. Have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and possess basic math skills.
