    Summary

    You will serve as the Distinguished Scientist/Engineer for Naval Integrated Fire Control (IFC) in the Integrated Combat Systems Department of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). This position is the key leadership position in this technical domain and is a nationally recognized technical expert in the full range of IFC functions, including sensor netting, cooperative engagement, distributed weapons engagement, ordnance handover, and Force Interoperability.

    Responsibilities

    • You will provide guidance and technical direction to a Research and Development team conducting advanced research, engineering and development advancing the Navy's capabilities in IFC and Force Level battle-space extension.
    • You will manage, direct, and oversee organizational units and technical teams that execute technical activities regarding the research, engineering and development of robust IFC System of Systems (SoS) solutions.
    • You will conduct initiatives to prototype and demonstrate advanced solutions for neutralizing and/or eliminating critical Over-the-Horizon (OTH) threats.
    • You will lead development of IFC solutions to allow naval forces to fight in an integrated fashion.
    • You will directly participate in laboratory activities including Science and Technology, and Rapid Prototyping in this area.
    • You will serve as Senior Advisor to the NSWCDD Commander, Technical Director, and Leadership Team on surface warfare policy and strategy.
