    The Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) is the technical Center of Expertise in the areas of surface & groundwater hydrology, river
    hydraulics & sediment transport, hydrologic statistics & risk analysis, reservoir system analysis, water control management & other closely
    associated technical subjects.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop new approaches and analytical techniques for the solution of complex hydrologic engineering problems encountered by USACE field offices.
    • Provide Hydrologic and analytical planning expertise to co-workers, technical specialists throughout USACE and other government agencies.
    • Support nation-wide water resource management by enhancing USACE technical capability in Hydrologic engineering and water resources planning and management.
    • Provide a leadership role in development of state of the art computer software in Hydrologic engineering and analytical planning for USACE personnel.
