As an IT Specialist (Operating Systems/Systems Admin), you will:
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: -Managing and maintaining enterprise applications and infrastructure services supporting the end user environment in a large, diverse, geographically dispersed Information Technology organization; AND
-Demonstrated systems administration experience on Windows servers/workstations with experience in multiple IT disciplines including system management techniques, change management methodologies and procedures, and operational best practices in an IT environment; AND
-Incident resolution using service desk ticketing tools, troubleshooting and resolving problems directly and when needed, escalating issues to senior support staff.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
