    This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for representing the commands community engagements program.

    Responsibilities

    As a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST at the GS-1035-9/11/12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Develops, implements, and evaluates integrated policies, programs and procedures for command community engagements program, as well as the Commander's personal community engagements program.
    • Develops prepared remarks for use by the commander, deputy commanding general, and other senior leaders in USTRANSCOM for speaking engagements involving both internal and external audiences.
    • Represents the commands community engagements program with a variety of councils, boards, working groups, and panels inside and outside the command, including DOD, and other governmental, nongovernmental, public, civic, service, industry, business, educational, entertainment, think tank, and media organizations.
    • Serves as senior adviser in the assigned area of responsibility.
