    The purpose of this position is to perform and serve as a scientist performing national/international scientific work involving studies of the functions, environmental response, biological activities and/or processes of humans and/or animals and their component parts.

    As a Biologist, you will:

    • Provide scientific advice, consultation and leadership in designing, coordinating and maintaining scientific project goals, objectives and priorities.
    • Design, oversee, implement, and conduct biological scientific surveys/studies or projects to identify and solve problems.
    • Supervise a small contingent of positions.
    • Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
    • Collaborate with scientists and program consultants in various aspects of study or survey design process, and other study support duties including analyzing and reporting of data and data dissemination to audiences.
    • Serve as an expert providing scientific biological advice and consultation on solutions to critical problems that require creating new approaches, and standards to be used.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - 25% Domestic Travel is required.
