This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Office of Agency Services. As a Digital Imaging Specialist, you will be the scanning and digital imaging expert, leading, directing and coordinating scanning services, projects, and operations across the Federal Records Centers (FRCs) that are broad and vary in complexity.

Duties

Help

As a Digital Imaging Specialist, you will:

  • Direct and oversee guidance provided to Federal Records Center Program (FRCP) document conversion units pertaining to the planning and execution of scanning projects and services.
  • Develop, modify, or provide input to project plans to ensure FRCP provides economical, effective, and prompt service and quality products to Federal agencies.
  • Provide sophisticated analysis to formulate resource needs for all scanning services and operations.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes converting documents to digital formats, working on document conversion projects, and performing digital file management. Examples of this may include:

  • Utilizing software to convert maps into digital documents; or
  • Creating a database to store digital files; or
  • Manipulating images to enhance documents for future storage
