    Summary

    The Supervisory Chemical Incident Investigator position is located in the Office of Investigations. The incumbent serves as the supervisor of experts in industrial chemical safety and nationwide incident investigation and analysis of major incidents involving the accidental release of hazardous materials and, developing and presenting reports with safety recommendations for adopting by the Board.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs and supervises a team of investigators responsible for organizing, managing and coordinating the investigation and analysis of major incidents involving the accidental release of hazardous materials.
    • Responsible for writing, developing and presenting investigative reports.
    • Provides guidance and technical direction to staff on matters of policy, project integration, funding and schedules.
    • Develops performance standards and evaluates work performance.

    Travel Required

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
