The incumbent serves as a Regulatory Support Specialist in the BSA Regulatory Support Section, FinCEN Resource Center with the Liaison Division of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). The Specialist conducts program activities to help ensure that institutions subject to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) are aware of their regulatory requirements, and of appropriate reporting methods and formats.
Summary

The Specialist conducts program activities to help ensure that institutions subject to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) are aware of their regulatory requirements, and of appropriate reporting methods and formats.
This position has been designated non-critical sensitive and requires incumbent to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Secret clearance. Must meet and continue to adhere to the requirements of a Tier 3 level background investigation.
As a Regulatory Support Specialist, you will:
Implement regulations, related laws concerning financial crime and financial transactions, and the role of FinCEN and Treasury in administering the BSA.
Develop and maintain records, files, spreadsheets and other relevant materials related to the Regulatory Support Section.
Research, collect and analyze data to prepare or provide input into final products in accordance with established instructions, standards, or expectations.
Communicate effectively with officials within and outside the office to discuss, explain and participate in resolving sensitive matters.

OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, if related; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related; OR LL.M., if related; OR a combination of both specialized experience and education. (Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
