    Summary

    About the Position: Responsible to serve as the fishery resources expert for the South Pacific Division (SPD) and the District's senior specialist in Sacramento as well as team leader in fishery resources. Serves as repository for all fishery resources planning, information concerning regional guidance and policy issues and provides mentorship to new and inexperienced staff. Serves as advisor for planning, policy and program development.

    Responsibilities

    • Applies a wealth of water resources planning and project development expertise.
    • Reviews overall planning approach and methods to be applied to meet established planning objectives.
    • Provides fishery resource policy compliance and quality assurance/quality control review process for decision documents.
    • Provides authoritative advice and guidance to key staff within the District, and other officials at Federal, State, and County agency levels.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business Travel (TDY) is approximately 25% of the time or less.
