Duties

Help
  • You will lead in matters of communication to internal and public audiences using content production, communication planning, media relations, digital engagement, media monitoring and analysis, commemorative planning, and internal information.
  • You will create and implement targeted, measurable communication plans that are aligned with NHHC's strategic goals.
  • You will integrate the development and use of branded, effective communication products into campaigns.
  • You will use proven communication skills, marketing experience, and a broad understanding of search engine optimization and market campaign products that effectively engage NHHC's target audience.
  • You will use traditional, digital and social media monitoring, and analytical tools to review the effectiveness of communication campaigns.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Working with website content management systems, and a variety of social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube); 2) Keeping abreast of changes in the field and adapting those changes to improve internal and public perceptions of the organization; 3) Producing effective print, graphical, photographic, video and digital content; and 3) Assessing public reaction and identifying extent of understanding achieved to evaluate effectiveness of communication programs and information campaigns.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.

This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.
