    Summary

    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Denver Federal Records Center. As an Archives Technician, you will perform various duties related to the delivery, transfer, reference, and accessioning or disposition of records, and provides assistance to agency customers.

    Responsibilities

    As an Archives Technician, you will:

    • Deliver records to and retrieve records from Federal agency customers located within the local metropolitan area. Operate a delivery van or small truck in a competent, safe, and legal manner designed to avoid moving violations or other citations.
    • Perform or oversee the performance of various duties related to receiving, shelving, searching, refiling, interfiling, and destroying Federal records. Shelve newly received records in appropriate shelf locations.
    • Physically refile and interfile agency records, returning temporarily withdrawn materials to original containers and interfiling new records utilizing various filing systems.
    • Advise and provide technical assistance to agency records officers on routine techniques and procedures for delivering records to the center. Greet visitors, discern purpose of visit, confirm ID, validate authorizations, review and release records, and obtain appropriate signatures and receipts.
