The incumbent of this position serves as an Investigator, and is responsible for investigation of suspected civil and administrative violations affecting DOI programs and activities consistent with the Inspector General Act of 1978 (Public Law 92-452).The incumbent conducts investigations of suspected civil violations and administrative violations highly complex and sensitive in nature, and a variety of investigative and/or operational duties to the following:

GS-13: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service conducting complex civil and administrative investigations and program reviews directly in support of the organization’s mission; studying and analyzing areas considered sensitive to fraud, waste and abuse for the purpose of determining effective controls and designating areas for detection efforts; and skill in preparing written products in a clear and concise manner.
CTAP/ICTAP Eligibility: Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605 (a) for CTAP and 5 CFR 330.704 for ICTAP. This includes a copy of the agency notice, a copy of their most recent Performance Rating and a copy of their most recent SF-50 noting current position, grade level, and duty location.
