Manages the front desk operations of a lodging property having an inventory in excess of 800 rooms at an AFRC facility as Front Office Manager. Through subordinate managers and leaders, is responsible for the overall management and direction of the include Front Office and Reservation operations and reports to the Rooms Division Manager.
Responsible for evaluating the success of front office and reservation programs/services in terms of profitability, guest satisfaction, and mission accomplishment. Plans, organizes, and directs, all within budget, the operation of the activity to include reservations and check in, cashiering, group management, check out, and night audit functions. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Evaluates program effectiveness through customer surveys or analysis of higher-level directives and requirements, financial performance, and forecasts projections and trends. Performs assessments, analysis, and develops courses of action and strategies for improvement in practices and methods that improve performance and achieve desired results in opportunities that increase efficiencies and enhance productivity such as, but are not limited to, increased occupancy, increased productivity, and better delivery of services. Executes and measures results of approved actions. Incumbent is responsible for conducting management reviews of patron program to identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective measures. Ensures internal control measures are followed and the safeguard of property.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with various functional managers. Integrates and synchronizes efforts to ensure mutual understanding and unity of effort. Coordinates, synchronizes, and integrates tasks, inquiries, reports, requests for data or assistance and other communications to appropriate personnel. Assists in the formulation of official responses and provide advice and guidance on policy. Negotiates, mediates and resolves problems and conflicts. Informs leadership on significant matters through briefings, reports and other written or oral material.
Develops the projected future plan and integrates the plan into the annual operating budget and the capital expenditure budget. Reviews and evaluates the execution of budgets, operating results, and various performance indicators. Monitors and evaluates project development for capital purchase and minor construction projects. Monitors operations through the use of process analysis to measure program effectiveness and provide recommendations. Develops and presents instructional sessions to managers, technicians, and other members of the lodging workforce.
Performs the full range of supervisory duties over any assigned staff. Motivates and inspires staff.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Supervisory/managerial experience
- Subject matter expertise in hotel management
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Experience with hotel operations in large full-service hotel environment
- Experience evaluating, analyzing and recommending process, procedures, and performances
- Experience with multi-tasking to meet operational needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
