    This position serves as the Branch Chief of the Information Services Branch, Ralph J. Bunche Library Division, Office of Information Programs and Services,Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Information Services, Bureau of Administration. (A/GIS/IPS/LIBR/IS). The Library also serves foreign embassies, Congressional offices, other federal agencies, the judiciary and lawyers, librarians, researchers, journalists, and scholars.

    • Participates in the management of the Library by collaborating with the Librarian in the development and administration of the Library program and in the formulation of overall Library policy to advance the mission and goals .
    • Manages the completion of special Library projects and directs staff in the preparation of reports, papers, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Identifies and evaluates new products and enhanced services for library operations.
    • Maintains effective communication within the Information Services Branch, within the Library, and with external clientele. Cultivates relationships with Library users, vendors, publishers and other sources of Library services.
    • In absence of the Librarian, assumes direction of the operations of the Library and the full range of responsibilities of the Librarian's position.
    • Provides directions and leadership for the research and information access services of the library.
