About the Position: This is a vacancy for a Mathematical Statistician position located in the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Army Evaluation Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
The mission of the US Army Evaluation Center (AEC) is to plan, support, conduct, and provide independent evaluations, assessments, and experiments in order to provide essential information to decision-makers supporting the American Warfighter.
- Serve as statistician supporting the independent, continuous and comprehensive evaluation planning and analysis of assigned oversight Army programs.
- Provide expertise in the areas of design of experiments and statistical analysis as a member of Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) system teams.
- Use statistical software packages to generate test matrices based on design of experiments principals and to analyze test data.
- Brief their design of experiments (DOE) and analysis inputs up the Chain of Command and to the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation and Director, Defense Test and Evaluation.
- Conduct technical reviews, briefing, and support of the development of integrated system evaluation strategies/plans/reports.
This position requires you to possess, obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
This position requires you to travel from the duty station 15% of the time.
Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
This is an Acquisition Position and requires Level III certification in Acquisition Career Field Test and Evaluation within 24 months of entrance on duty.
The employee may be required to work overtime.

Combination of education and experience -- at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, including at least 12 hours in mathematics and 6 hours in statistics, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
