This position is located in the Headquarters Office of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Office of Communications.  This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive national information and public affairs program designed to promote product safety.

    Responsibilities

    As the Administrative Officer for the office, this position is responsible for planning and organizing the daily administrative operations and a variety of special assignments for the Office of Communications. You shall report directly to the Deputy Communications Director and shall provide assistance to the Communications Director, as needed. Overall responsibilities of the incumbent including a complete range of the day-to-day administrative and calendar duties, press release processing, operations including document management, procurement, budget preparation and monitoring, travel arrangements and processing, property and space management and records management. These duties require use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Sharepoint and others in the Microsoft Office Suite.
