    Responsibilities

    The district is soliciting applications for a Criminal Division Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) position in the Grand Rapids, Michigan office. Criminal Division assignments in this district may cover the full range of federal offenses, forfeiture, collections and responses to collateral attacks and appeals. Criminal Division AUSAs are responsible for substantial legal research and writing, both at the trial and appellate levels.

    Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

    Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. In addition, continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
