    This position functions primarily in the Prosthetic Laboratory Section of the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service. The Prosthetist provides the appropriate prosthetic devices and treatment. Participates in the evaluation and research studies on new or improved prosthetic devices, components, principles, designs and materials. Responsible for designing and fabricating prostheses of unusual or developmental design for more complex cases.

    -Performs a comprehensive assessment of the patient to obtain an understanding of the patients prosthetic needs.
    -Creates a comprehensive prosthetic treatment plan to meet the needs and goals of the patient.
    -Performs the necessary procedures to deliver the appropriate prosthetic services, which may include fabrication of the prosthesis.
    -Provides continuing patient care and periodic evaluation to assure/maintain/document optimal fit and function of the prosthesis.
    -Complies with policies, procedures and regulations regarding human resource management, physical environment management, business/financial management and organizational management.
    -Participates in personal and professional development through continuing education, training, research and organizational affiliations

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
