The Analytics group conducts innovative analysis on Postal operations to support investigations and audits. The Research group studies strategic issues facing the Postal Service by conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify opportunities to increase the efficiency and promote growth of USPS products and services. The Student Cooperative will assist with operations, including budgeting, contracting, support for travel and training, and administrative operations. The Student Cooperative will also assist the Analytics group with special projects. The position requires responsibility, attention to detail, excellent writing and critical thinking skills. The Student Cooperative Program is available for continuous employment throughout the year, while enrolled in school. The selected candidate will work between 15 and 20 hours per week.
Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and/or the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.
This position is being advertised at the Administrative Band level. The base salary range for this position is $13-$17/hour. Locality Pay is authorized.
Sophomore $16.67 per hour including locality pay
Junior/Senior $19.23 per hour including locality pay
Graduate or Law Student $21.80 per hour including locality pay
