    Summary

    You will be working with the Public Affairs staff for the Agricultural Marketing Service as a lead for the digital communication efforts. The Public Affairs staff is responsible for developing and disseminating public information and serves as a liaison with the USDA and other federal agencies for strategic communications planning and implementation.

    Responsibilities

    • The duties may include, but are not limited to:
    • Development of policies, strategies, standards, guidance and training for the use of digital media
    • Responsible for agency website content updates and changes
    • Developing policy and strategies for gathering internal and external feedback
    • Manages the AMS Digital Communications Task Force
    • Works with IT Services, the Office of Communications and others to identify and plan for the evolving technical needs of agency digital communications
    • Provides agency leadership with clear, well researched advice on technical options and new opportunities for dissemination of information
    • Ensures compliance with agency and department policies and other applicable federal policies, practices, and procedures

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel for training and work assignments may be required.
