Maintain and review financial documents in order to be able to process specialized actions. Ensure all budget and financial related responsibilities comply with existing policies. Monitor and track obligations and expenditures. Review financial and budget data, identify recurring budgetary issues, problems, or conditions, and seek solutions. Enter and/or validate time and attendance records in the automated payroll system. Review time and attendance to ensure they are coded properly. Resolve recurring payroll issues. Prepare travel documents, assist with travel arrangements, resolve issues, audit travel documents to ensure they are processed correctly. Serves as a Collection Officer with the responsibility or preparing receipts, records, and tracking forms, reconcile accounts receivable, process refunds, deposit monies in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsible for greeting customers, provide information in response to inquiries either verbally or in writing. Prepare formal correspondence.

Specialized Experience for the GS-05: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-04. Examples of Specialized Experience: Providing budget and finance support which may include basic elements of obligations, distribution and reconciliation, administration, collections, travel planning, timekeeping, correspondence, training, and public contact, or equivalent programs and functions.; OR - Education: 4 years above high school, This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school; OR - Combination of Education and Experience: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
