    This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), Financial Management Office (FMO). FMO provides effective stewardship and utilization of resources in support of the DoD OIG and the DoD's strategic and operational goals through improved fiscal and acquisition planning.

    • Prepares cost estimate reports, statistical and financial tables, and charts to monitor the OIG status of funds.
    • Analyze policies, directives, legislation, budget data and reports to determine resource allocation, identify imbalances and provide recommendations to senior management.
    • Conducts cost benefit and trade-off analysis to balance OIG total obligation authority and reconcile estimates with current levels of expenditures.
    • Assists with preparing budget appeals, budget hearings, statistical and financial reports and written justifications for preparation for DoD officials, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congress.
    • Conducts analyses, and provide guidance to OIG leadership for planning, programming, budgeting, and executing resources.
    • Assists in the developments of the OIG Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Budget Estimate submission (BES), and President?s Budget (PB).

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 5% for this position.
