Duties

Help

The Management Analyst:

  • Develops, programs and maintains key student and related databases to retrieve, merge, and report information from multiple databases, systems, and electronic files. 
  • Coordinates and implements procedures for collecting, storing, analyzing, and disseminating date. 
  • Provides other initiatives regarding the capture or retrieval of data. 
  • Participates in program assessment and evaluation activities, tracking identified outcome measures and data sources. 
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data, and assists with program review reports. 
  • Prepares and presents information in a way that facilitates sound understanding and utilization of the results for knowledgeable decision-making. 
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels and handle highly sensitive and confidential information. 

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to evaluate methods and techniques related to the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations sufficient to identify, consider, and resolve issues using statistical analysis computer software programs, databases, spreadsheets, and charts to report data effectively.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet either the education or specialized experience requirements. 


To qualify on for the GS-11 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09, it must include:

  • Experience performing assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines relative to data analysis.
  • Experience with projects and assignments requiring identifying, analyzing, and developing recommendations to resolve problems which affect the efficiency of program operations.

To qualify for the GS-11 on Education alone, you must have:

  • 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
  • You can also qualify based on a combination of higher level graduate education and experience.  This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application.  

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).  Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.  You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
