The incumbent will provide day-to-day human resources services to OIG employees. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience researching, interpreting and applying appropriate Federal laws, regulations, policies and guidelines in more than one human resource function i.e. Recruitment, Performance Management, Classification, Retirement & Benefits, Compensation, etc. You MUST be proficient in one of the following Human Resource functions: Processing Personnel Actions (PAR Processing)
GS-09: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 07 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience utilizing personnel automated systems to process personnel actions; creating & posting job announcements, rating and ranking applicants for referral, and processing special actions such as creditable service deposits, scd changes, disabled veteran leave, availability pay, military leave, etc.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
GS-11: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 09 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience utilizing personnel automated systems to process personnel actions, process corrections, and retroactive actions; developing job analyses, creating & posting job announcements, developing assessments, rating and ranking applicants for referral, and processing special actions such as creditable service deposits, scd changes, disabled veteran leave, availability pay, military leave, etc.

Ability to process & troubleshoot personnel actions accurately and timely, referencing the CFR, USC, and OPM to follow federal regulations, rules, and guideline in an automated personnel processing system.
Knowledge of Delegated Examining and Merit Promotion procedures in conjunction with OPM Guidelines, CFR, USC, and Special Hiring Authorities.
Knowledge of HR Operations such as military service deposits, peace corps deposits, FERS/CSRS deposits, pay actions and leave actions, etc.
