As a Supervisory Health InsuranceSpecialist, GS-0107-15, you will have responsibility for planning and coordinating the functions related to developing, interpreting, implementing, evaluating, and reviewing Medicaid managed care programs and policies as well as overseeing the staff.
- Leading staff and serving as a role model for leadership, including coaching, mentoring, providing ongoing feedback, providing formal and informal learning opportunities; , as well as addressing staffing issues/problems when they arise.
- Helping to lead the development, monitoring, enforcement, and the evaluation regulations, policies, procedures, State Plan Amendments and other guidelines for States in the design and implementation of their Medicaid Managed Care programs
- Participating and negotiating with high-ranking State and Federal officials on issues related to division work.
- Facilitating, managing and building relationships with all internal and external Stakeholder groups including States, health plans, advocacy organizations, other federal agencies and senior policy makers.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
