    This position is located in the Office of Architecture and Engineering, an adjunct function of the Administrator's Office, National Gallery of Art.The incumbent serves as a Project Manager/Engineer in the Office of Architecture and Engineering and reports to a Senior Program Manager. The incumbent provides professional design services and also manages and administers the work of outside contractors and consultants.

    The incumbent will:

    • Oversees, troubleshoots, coordinates, and actively manages various design contracting issues and on-site construction activities. 
    • Plans, coordinates, implements, and delivers a variety of projects funded through the NGA’s Master Facilities Plan, its Ongoing Renovation program, and other fund sources. 
    • Acts as a technical resource for the engineering aspects of project planning, design, construction; and replacement of building systems equipment. 
    • Conducts design studies and resolves problems unique to art museum facilities and their engineered systems.
