About the Position: You will function as a Project Management Specialist with the Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District, Nashville Planning, Programs and Project Management Division, located in Nashville, TN.
Plans and schedules tasks and monitors the progress of project completion.
Establishes a project task listing required to accomplish execution of the project within cost and time limitations.
Analyzes tasks to establish work interrelationships and to establish the project baseline cost and schedule for Project Manager review.
Collects project execution data from project managers assigned to the District.
Performs a variety of administrative and technical support duties such as maintaining and distributing documents and files; and prepares graphs, charts, and other materials for briefings and meetings.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued motor vehicle driver's license.
May be required to perform temporary duty travel (TDY) approximately 5-10% of the time or perform an uncommon tour of duty (e.g., evenings, weekends) in connection with stated duties.

To qualify at the GS-05 grade level, you must have:
A. Generalized Experience: Three years of general experience. Generalized experience which includes assisting with researching and gathering data to analyze basic problems; recommending solutions; ensure project remains on schedule; monitors project completion; and respond to internal/external inquiries verbally and/or in writing. One year must be equivalent to the GS-04. This definition of generalized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04); OR
B. Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, if related; OR
C. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, you must have:
A. B. Education: A master's or equivalent graduate degree; or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR
C. Combination of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for this position. B. Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR
C. Combination of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for this position.
