    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as first level supervisor providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over subordinate employees assigned to the wing/center Inspector General (IG) office. Serves as the wing/center IG, with responsibility to review and oversee DOD, Air Force, and wing/center inspection programs.

    • Plans, directs, and manages the activities of the wing/center Inspector General office, ensuring that programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet the needs of the organization
    • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities for a military and civilian staff
    • Serves as the Commander?s principal advisor on Air Force Complaints Resolution and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) programs
    • Oversees the operation and management of Self-Assessment, Exercise, and Inspection programs
    • Represents the Inspector General office and programs with a variety of wing/center and functional area organizations

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
