This position is located in the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Information Technology Audits & Cyber (ITC), of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The Office of Information Technology Audits & Cyber conducts performance audits of the FDIC's IT program and operations, as well as the Corporation's IT supervisory program for insured institutions and their service providers.Learn more about this agency
Assists in performing IT audits and technical reviews involving segments of major FDIC programs and operations related to a number of FDIC’s current programs and operations, assessing the impact of legislative and regulatory driven changes or the broader Federal banking regulatory environment. Performs research to help gather background information about the program and relevant criteria.
Reviews documents provided by or prepared by program officials to ascertain accuracy and completeness of information provided and/or to test compliance with program controls. Performs data analysis to organize data, identify trends, and otherwise interpret results. Composes draft work papers and summaries for computer systems and information technology assessments and controls evaluations, performing data analysis, and developing draft findings that are clearly and sufficiently supported audit work conducted.
Prepares written summaries results of procedures performed, including documenting summaries of meetings held with FDIC officials.
Prepares assignment documentation for the purpose of supporting work performed, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Documentation should be prepared in accordance with OIG policies and procedures.
Participates in meetings with program officials, team, and OIG management.
Occasional travel - This position requires occasional travel.
