Duties

Help
  • You will manage and oversee the Command's OPSEC and PII programs per applicable DoD, Navy, and Command directives.
  • You will conduct periodic OPSEC and PII assessments and program reviews and provide results to the Command's Security Director.
  • You will participate in review process of information for public release with the public affairs officer.
  • You will Interface with people at all levels and situations to ensure that security requirements are understood and implemented.
  • You will advise personnel on security regulations and procedures.
  • You will Implement physical security program policies and procedures.
  • You will review DD-254S for OPSEC compliance.
  • You will communicate effectively orally and in writing in order to provide advice and consultation, prepare reports and present formal briefings.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-09/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing sensitive information (e.g., OPSEC or PII) to ensure compliance within a security program.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

Education may be used to substitute for specialized experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
-OR-
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
-OR-
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Incumbent is regularly exposed to the hazard of construction sites, explosive ranges and magazines.
However, the hazard may be reduced through the use of standard operating procedures and/or safety equipment. This may include environmental risks, dangers, discomforts and hardships (e.g. periods of extreme uncomfortable temperatures, altitude, wind; working with hazardous chemicals or around dangerous machinery/equipment at test sites, etc.) which the employee must cope with in accomplishing work.
