    This position is in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC or Commission) Office of Inspector General (OIG), located in Washington, DC.

    If selected, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse and to promote integrity, economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the Commission's programs and operations.

    • Works closely with the Inspector General to oversee day-to-day management operations of the OIG;
    • Supports or oversees quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with professional audit and investigative standards as well as the reporting requirements of the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended;
    • Provides executive leadership and management of the staff and work products by maintaining and exhibiting knowledge, insight, and understanding of the assigned specialized areas of responsibility;
    • Reviewing and approving timely and high-quality draft and final reports and other written materials before they are submitted to the IG;
    • Represents the OIG in high level meetings, conferences, and presentations involving a wide range of participants such as regulatory or law enforcement agencies, state, local, national or international government offices;
    • Provides support and guidance for overall management and allocation of assigned resources in the OIG.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
