    About the Position: Serve as a senior Geologist performing advanced, novel, and the most complex assignments, which require seasoned scientific knowledge of geologic principles and practices.

    Vacancies may be filled in either of the listed locations. The vacancy at Lake Isabella is for 3-5 years. At the end of that, the incumbent will be reassigned to Sacramento. PCS is authorized for that move.

    Relocation and Recruitment incentives may be paid.

    Responsibilities

    • The position's activities include a wide variety of engineering geology and hydrogeology functions of the Section in support of the District's Civil and Military programs.
    • Serve as project coordinator for large and diversified projects with responsibility for scheduling, assigning, and reviewing the work of subordinate participating employees.
